September 22nd! “It’s the most wonderful time of the year..And no it’s not christmas.
It is the first official day of fall!
Anyone who knows me knows that this is my favorite day of the year and that I look forward to this day all year round.
I love everything about Fall from the smells, to the crisp air, to the candy apples and fritters and donuts, and even to the new Pumpkin Spice Cheerios. (Yes these are a real thing, yes they are as delicious as they sound, yes I bought more than one box and yes they should make them year round.) *Some people I know tend to discriminate towards the whole pumpkin spice in everything faze.* The more pumpkin spice the better! Bring on the pumpkin beers, the Starbucks Pumpkin lattes and anything else anyone is willing to add pumpkin spice too. Hey if that makes me a BASIC B**** I will take it and will always cheers for more pumpkin beers!
Besides the whole pumpkin spice movement I do like Fall for another very important reason; Fashion…obviously I had to mention fashion here because as you know this is a fashion blog. I like to call it FALLing into Fashion.
There are just so many options you can choose from; whether it is chunky sweaters (more details on a later post), tall riding boots (much like my beloved first pair), scarves, leggings and more. Frankly I love it all.
Now I must admit that I did start fall a little early this year, September 1st to be exact, just for decorating. Ok, ok I may have also gotten a pumpkin beer or 2, but I didn’t get the cinnamon sugar rim and I did wait to FALL into fashion.
I waited and waited although Pinterest kept showing me cute outfit, after cute outfit, after amazing boots *sigh*. No, I waited because I wanted September 22nd to be amazing and I am so glad that I did. Not only did I have the perfect #basic fall outfit, but I got to go to Vermont and go to an amazing winery, oh all the while getting paid. I got paid to drink glass after glass of wine. How cool is my job!
(If you ever get a chance to go to Vermont, definitely check out the Honora Winery. It is absolutely breathtaking and their homemade wine tastes amazing..you also get to keep a free souvenir glass. **Hey if it’s free it’s for me!**)
So as you can see I not only live for wine, but my perfect first day into fall was definitely one for the books. To quote MasterCard ; Perfect fall outfit (check), wine during a work day (check), crisp cool air and changing foliage (check) and a beautiful winery with an amazing 3 state view on the first day of fall, priceless. The only thing missing was a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks.
